The formula
CSAT = (satisfied responses ÷ total valid responses) × 100
What the result means
CSAT expresses the share of respondents who reported being satisfied, as a percentage from 0% to 100%.
Which ratings count as “satisfied” is a methodology choice — most teams use the top two points of the scale. Whatever you choose, keep it consistent so your trend line stays meaningful.
